Jake Memorial College student’s death
The Jake Memorial Baptist College has lost one of its students. Student Simeon Harmon, one of our smartest and potential preachers, died last week after months of sickness. According to family sources, Brother Simeon fell off in the pulpit on Good Friday while he was about to give the Last Seven Words of the Cross. He was taken to several hospitals but doctors could not find the cause of his sickness.

We just interviewed more than 25 baptismal candidates to be baptized next Sunday. The Discipleship class graduated 23 students who completed basic Bible doctrines. Regarding our Bible School ministry, Pastor Barnes and I just return from teaching at the Bong Mine Theological Institute. In fact, ten students will be graduating on July 18 from the institute. The next module at the Jake Memorial Baptist College has begun. I am teaching the Book of Romans.

The president of the Republic of Liberia, Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf worshiped with the Calvary Baptist Church on Sunday, June 20TH 2010, during its second Fathers’ Day service. Despite the heavy down pour of rain that Sunday morning, the president made it to the church and was met on arrival by Pastor G. Larque Vaye and members of the Deacons Board.
