Yesterday when I presented the VBS offering project to our church folks and we showed them the Operation Love video, we already have a good amount given by our folks toward the project!

Tribal Children in Philippines Learn God’s Word
MINDANAO, Philippines—In the Philippine Islands is a large church in the southern island of Mindanao. Bethel Baptist Church receives Sunday School materials from Gospel Literature Services, and God continues to strengthen that congregation of Christians.

WA, Ghana—We met briefly at a pastors’ meeting under the shade of the mango and acacia trees in Wa, Ghana. These pictures are from our new outreach at Tanchara, a village near Lawra, where we have been serving the Lord for the past 36 years. “Digging for God’s Truth” in South America
GUYANA, South America—Are you daily Digging for God’s Truth? This was the theme for Vacation Bible School 2009. It was a delight each day (Aug. 10–14) to welcome over 75 children between the ages of four and 18. The studies were about creation (Gen. 1:1—2:3), the purpose for human life (Gen 1:26–29; 2:4–25), how to be right with God (Gen. 3), what happened to dinosaurs (Gen. 6:5—8:19), and God keeping His promises (8:13—9:27).
God’s Work Progresses in Thailand
THAILAND—God laid a desire on the hearts of two ladies from Thailand to reach boys and girls with the gospel by translating Regular Baptist Press Sunday School materials into the Thai language. Helping a Veteran Church Planter
I had the privilege of meeting with a veteran church planter in Cleveland Ohio. He is reaching thousands within his community and loving them in Jesus’ name. He contacted GLS to help him equip and train him with a website about their new church. As we met, he became very excited about being able to modify the site weekly to keep the community and the church up to date with what is happening.

Greetings from Minneapolis, where God is working in many lives. He is using ESL classes to share God’s Word among refugees and university graduate students each week in local churches here.
You might be interested to know that God has been using the Hmong God’s Story VCD to open hearts of our marginally literate Hmong ESL students. After several weeks of viewing one chapter during each class, interest in God’s Word is increasing.
