Good News Bible College and Seminary has been providing theological training in Andhra Pradesh, South India, since 1999. “In India, 90 percent of the rural pastors are untrained who never had been to a Bible college,” says founder and president Pastor G. Jayasekhar. The school is a ministry of Good News Baptist Assembly, an IPFBM partner. “By God’s grace,” he says, the school has seen “remarkable growth”; its teaching of systematic theology has “been accepted by the main churches and slowly spread to different towns and cities in India.” He sends the following letter:

Good News Bible College and Seminary held its seventh graduation on Thursday, Oct. 18 with 15 ThB students and 16 BD students. It was a movement of joy and pride as they received their certificates. They committed themselves to the ministry as they felt the need of an evangelist to proclaim the gospel.

Starting in November we are again conducting special classes for non-Christians and new believers in Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

We do remember you and the ministry in our regular prayers.

Yours in His Great Commission,

Pastor G. Jayasekhar
