Pastor Maboko Fidele, director of the Lisa Center Orphanage in Goma, Congo, visited a camp for displaced people in Kanyaruchinya.

He went there to check on the welfare of church members who had been driven from the Rutshuru and Masisi territories due to the prevailing war. Many of the people are elderly and lack nearly all necessities, including food, clothes, and medicine.

“They obviously need an emergency assistance in all means,” Pastor Fidele says. “The most vulnerable are women, children, and people beyond 60 years old.”

He is praying for resources to help these people.
