“A city set on a hill cannot be hid”, Matthew 5:14. Such is the description of Aizawl, Mizoram, in NE India. This unique city is built upon the steep sides of a mountain where the entrance to your home is right above the roof of your neighbor. The Lord opened the opportunity for Chris and Deb Hindal to participate in the 26th general assembly of the Fundamental Baptist Churches of Mizoram. Chris spoke 4 times on the general theme of fundamentalism. The conferences included students from 3 Bible Colleges, regional pastors and church members. The approximate 200 in attendance grew to nearly 400 for the Sunday morning worship service. When the invitation was given at the close of the Sunday morning message, several hands were raised to indicate decisions of first-time surrender to the Lord.

After a harrowing 7-hour trip through the mountains, we arrived late Sunday night in the city of Silchar, Assam. We immediately felt the heat and humidity of this city on the plain surrounded by rice paddies. Dr. Ishak Ahmed graciously received us, having set up 2 days of meetings with the leaders of partners and potential partners. Both Chris and Deb were given opportunity to speak to the students of the Bible College. The staggered meeting with 5 different groups maximized the use of our time during this segment of the trip.
