The Fellowship of Missions met at the Colonial Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, VA for its annual meeting September 17-19, 2007.This partnership of thirty mission agencies finds encouragement and help through sharing ideas, prayer, and camaraderie. Dr. David Doran, Senior Pastor of the Inter-City Baptist Church, Allen Park, MI and president of Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary spoke to the conferees on the subject of “Biblical Discernment in Ethical Issues.” Five workshops were conducted on relevant subjects for mission leaders. This year FOM welcomed one new member, Nehemiah Teams International, headquartered in Hot Springs, South Dakota, founded and led by Matthew Chamberlain.

Dr. Gerald Webber, president of FOM tendered his resignation due to the pressures of pastoral ministry.The Fellowship expressed its appreciation to Dr. Webber for his tenure of service with a financial gift and plaque. The executive committee will act as a search committee to seek God’s direction in finding a new President.
