Chris and Deb Hindal arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on Thursday, April 12 and were received
at the airport by Pastor Ooga Thomas. Brother Thomas pastors the a church whose name 
translates to By the River Baptist Church. Located in a poor settlement on the south side of the city, this church, a small group of financially struggling families, meets with Brother Thomas faithfully.
Chris and Deb accompanied the pastor as they visited several homes, encouraging and praying with each family. The church sponsors an informal preschool with about 20 children. Each student and the teachers were given a beaded bracelet with the wordless book colors. Chris explained the gospel using the colors of the beads. The teacher had the children perform several songs for the Hindals.
This church is a part of the Faith Independent Baptist Churches of Kenya, a partnering association of the IPFBM.
