In a small village of northeastern Pennsylvania, Thompson Baptist Church has a long history of standing for the truth. This is the church where the late Carl and Ken Elgena, longtime Regular Baptist leaders, were saved. Though the church has experienced the ups and downs of ministry through the years, Pastor John Sandau is committed to speaking the truth in love. He preaches expository messages with the prayer that the Word of God will prevail, souls will be saved, and the body of Christ will mature for His glory.
Chris Hindal had the opportunity to share Gospel Literature Services in Sunday School on Sunday, July 24. During the morning service he preached and then transitioned into an overview of God’s work around the world through the International Partnership. Afterward the church gathered for a potluck dinner with the delicious food typical of Baptist fellowship.
