Daniels Road Baptist Church brought back from the field three missionaries to participate in its missions conference Feb. 25–27. Randy Alderman serves in Togo, West Africa; David Bennett ministers worldwide to the deaf community; Mark Henzler teaches throughout Latin America and lives in Nicaragua. The conference also included the children in an all-country presentation and a procession of the country flags of all the missionaries that the church supports.

The theme, “Increasing Our Vision for Missions,” provided an incentive for the congregation to participate in writing original poems and also for one couple to write the conference theme song.

The conference began on Friday night with an ice cream social during which the three missionaries shared their testimonies and personal challenges through a panel discussion facilitated by Pastor Eric Bennett. On Saturday morning the missionaries challenged the congregation toward greater missionary involvement as the congregation divided into three groups and rotated to hear each missionary. The missionaries were treated to a boat ride in the backwaters of Fort Myers Beach in the afternoon and were able to see dolphins jumping in their natural habitat.

On Sunday, Mark and Randy each presented their ministry during the Sunday School hour. Chris Hindal gave the keynote message for the conference during the morning service. One lady trusted Christ as her Savior, and many others made decisions related to their personal mission. David Bennett shared his ministry during the international dinner on Sunday evening. Unsolicited comments by individuals indicated that the conference indeed increased their vision for missions.
