Cyrus Wanyonyi Chefunea is director of Good Soil Baptist Churches International in Kenya. He sends the following letter:
We have had a big blow to one of our churches, Torofu Baptist Church. It has fallen down completely due to heavy rain and strong wind. The church members are meeting outside under a tree. Few are turning up, but most are not turning up in fear of the cold and rainy season.
I asked others in our partnership to join us in praying for the Lord to provide funds to rebuild this church building. The mason said it can cost $2,000 to rebuild, since it is only 25 x 50 feet, but even the little we can get can help one step toward building. We trust the Lord to provide.
Otherwise, our work with churches in our association is going well. We thank you so much for church literature materials and Bibles. Our churches are teaching Sunday School classes very effectively. We just pray for more Bibles, since many new converts are added day per day.
Continue praying for us as we face challenges ministering in Muslim communities.
