This year the Lord has brought 25 committed students to get equipped for full-time ministry from Andhra Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, and Mizoram states of India and Myanmar.
Some of our students had quite the summer ministry experience of preaching in eight or more churches, sharing the gospel with the unsaved and representing Beacon Ministries in Manipur.
We’ve heard from our alumni serving in Noida, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Myanmar, and Nepal. God is doing great things through their ministries and it is always exciting to see them and their ministries bear fruit.
Church-planting work has been fruitful in Belgaum district, where 116 people were saved in the first half of the year. Through house Bible studies, VBS, and prayer meetings, nearly 1,900 people heard the gospel. We are planning to have a church family camp in Belgaum Oct. 22–26. We hope it will be a time of fellowship, learning, and spiritual rejuvenation for our church family.
We are sincerely praying for open doors to plant a new church in Hosur. We have been reaching out with the gospel of Christ to people we come across every day.
Please do pray for Venkat, who is a staunch Hindu and works at the local pharmacy. I have been sharing the gospel and praying for him every day. It will be a great joy to see him come to Christ for salvation.
We have Sunday worship on campus that is open to anyone in our locality. A few of our students serve in setting up and on the worship team at Beacon Baptist Church in Bangalore. We are very pleased with the heart for service our students possess.
We are sincerely praying for on-campus faculty housing, as we need faculty members to supervise resident students and to carry out other responsibilities. During our college summer break (March 10—June 15), we had some repairs done to the sheeted roof on the topmost floor in anticipation of the rainy and windy monsoons. Our students were really happy about that; no one wants to be soaked during lunch. However, we are having a drought this year and our well has run almost dry. We have been buying water to survive and meet the needs of the college. This drought will persist if we do not get enough rain during our rainy season (June to October).
We request that you pray for rain in Hosur. We are even contemplating redigging the tube well to get some more water. Please do pray for required funds to redig the well.
Thank you so much for your financial and prayer support.
