Nang Za Thawn is pastor of Evangelical Baptist Church in Myanmar. He sends the following ministry update.

In Myanmar (formerly Burma), 87.9 of the population is listed as Buddhists. Officially Buddhism is no longer the state religion in our country, but the officials actively promote it. Theoretically, there is freedom of religion, but there is much discrimination against Christians. We make our every possible effort to make known the salvation of Jesus in this needy land. The Lord has answered and honored our prayer. In September 2016, we evangelized the Buddhists in a village. The Lord has added one lady and one man to His church. They were there and then baptized. They enjoy the fellowship at church and prove themselves to be good Christians.
