BANGKOK—Chris Hindal and Chris Brown are in Bangkok, finalizing arrangements for the International Partnership conference on Nov. 4–7. The beautiful Wangree Resort is the setting for the conference. The Two Chrises met with the resort management along with Pastors Reuel and Somchit.
While in Bangkok, Hindal and Brown also met with Grace and Pet, the two ladies who are translating Regular Baptist Press Sunday School materials into Thai. What a tremendous undertaking it is to translate all 12 quarters, 13 lessons in each quarter, of both the teacher’s book and the student handbooks of the Primary Department. Now they each are tackling another department. Grace is on book five of the Pre-Primary class and Pet is on the third quarter of the Junior Department. Chris Brown downloaded a program on their computers that allows them to save their work as PDF files.
Hindal and Brown also checked on transportation issues and extra hotel arrangements for those who come early and those who stay for the two day add-on tour of Bangkok. The tour of Bangkok will be well worth the time and expense to get an introduction to Thai life and culture.
