Andhra Pradesh, India, is dealing with the effects of a cyclone that began Wednesday.

“Heavy winds hit my region and collapsed many houses and crops,” says Prasad Sakile, a pastor with the New Life Regular Baptist Society of Andhra Pradesh.

But one area where Prasad ministers has been especially affected: a seaside village of fishermen and their families. That village is now flooded.

When it comes to hearing the gospel, the people in that village “are the most unreached people group in India,” Prasad says. He says they believe superstitions and praise rocks as their Savior.

So for the past 20 years Prasad has been sharing the gospel with people in this village and helping them “with social development works.” He is now helping these fishermen and their families recover from the cyclone’s aftermath by leading a team of volunteers who are distributing food and making arrangements for shelter.

Please pray for the “Lord’s grace upon this people group, as well as [the] Lord’s providing for necessary needs,” Prasad says.
