Josiah and Mary Abedu-Kennedy serve with the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Accra, Ghana. Recently, someone robbed the school where one of the association’s churches meets. The Abedu-Kennedys send the following appeal for help, as well as news from their association.

Two weeks ago, on reaching the school where we hold our services and meetings for Dodowa Baptist Fellowship, to our shock and surprise, thieves had broken into the classroom, stolen all our church chairs except one, and our pulpit stand as well. For the past two weeks we have been using the school’s chairs for our meetings. Unfortunately, the school will be going on holidays this week and will be packing all their chairs and tables. This is an urgent prayer need. We are praying for $800 to purchase 30 new chairs and a pulpit stand for our young church. In addition, Hope Community Baptist Church, our new church plant in Nsawum with more than 40 people in attendance, could also use $400 to purchase 20 more chairs.

Crossroads Baptist Church has seen many visitors these past few weeks. We are also thanking the Lord for the return of some of the members that were transferred for work in different parts of the country. They have been retransferred to Accra. We have two new people that have joined our new believers’ class and are getting ready for water baptism. We added two people to the church last week also. To God be all the glory! We also have six people in the discipleship program of our church. Vacation Bible School will be in four weeks’ time. Continue to pray that the Lord will supply all the materials needed for this year.
