burned out inlineIn Bangladesh is a remote and mountainous region called the Hill Tracts. The Bangladesh Tribal Association of Baptist Churches is trying to reach this area with the gospel. Right now several families are in need of help.

Fire destroyed the homes of 28 families who attend churches in the Hill Tracts when the jungle burned in the midst of cultivation. Bir Bahadur Tripura of the Bangladesh Tribal Association of Baptist Churches calls the event shocking. These families, who had so little to begin with, have nothing left. “Praise God that at least they saved their lives,” he says.

These families are now sleeping under trees, living in open fields, and taking shelter in churches. “Please pray for those villages’ people,” Tripura says, as they now need houses and tents along with basic necessities such as food and clothing. You can help support the Bangladesh Tribal Association of Baptist Churches as they minister to these families during this difficult time. Make a donation using the “Emergency Relief” designation. You can place “Emergency Relief” in the memo line as well.
