The new academic year of Beacon Baptist Theological College and Seminary began on July 7. We have students from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Nagaland, Manipur, Assam and Meghalaya, and Myanmar, a neighboring country. For the first time we have students from Uttar Pradesh, which is the most populated state in North India but has the smallest minority of Christians. We praise God for bringing these students, who will be future church planters.

Since we live in the countryside, we do not have hotels nearby to accommodate our visiting faculty, and due to a lack of funds, we cannot rentimage001 houses for our regular faculty members. Hence, we prayed and started construction of five faculty suites. The construction is in progress. The project cost is $48,000. Completion of this project will be another milestone for Beacon Baptist Ministries. We still need $15,000 to complete the faculty suites. Your generous contribution would help us complete the project. We praise God for the water from the newly drilled well. The Lord provided the funds for the drilling, for plumbing, and electrical work.

Our church plant ministry continues in Belgaum, Bangalore, and Hosur. In Belgaum about 715 people participated in our church ministries. Several villages in this district have been reached for Christ. The church in Belgaum needs a building, but the church members are from a low income group and hence cannot afford to purchase the land and erect a building. In October we are planning to have a family camp for the Belgaum church members.
