India new church building inlineHemkholun Khongsai is general secretary of the Fellowship of Fundamental Biblical Baptist Churches in Manipur, India. He sends the following history of the association and its current ministry endeavors.

In the early 1970s, the late Rev. Khupchinthang Simte embraced fundamental doctrine. The Fellowship of Fundamental Biblical Baptist Churches of Manipur was started on May 19, 1977, with seven churches. He is still alive as an immortal memory in the hearts of the members of the local Baptist churches in Manipur.

The liberalist churches nearby started to oppose this doctrine and its teaching. Gradually, with the help of our almighty God, this doctrine invades many people in the state. For many years those brethren had gone through sufferings, tortures, and even persecutions from those church leaders and village authorities, but momentarily gain ground in their faith. There are now 25 churches.
