Over the last few years, donations to Regular Baptist International have enabled national pastors to purchase motorbikes. Where these pastors serve, this is the preferred and most economical form of transportation. Dr. Chatla Devasahayam, president of the Indian Christian Bethel Baptist Gospel Fellowship in Andhra Pradesh, India, sends the following thank-you letter for recent donations that enabled the purchase of motorbikes. He also tells about one of the recipients, Pastor Venu.

What a joy it is to all the churches and the pastors with gratitude with the event of donating vehicles.

Pastor Venu from Vijayanagaram district, which is about 500 klm from here, is from highest caste (vaisya) and was cast away from his family for receiving Christ and after having basic training on our fellowship. He became pastor.

Once I and board members went to visit him. He booked two hotel rooms for us. We said we would stay in the place where the church services were functioning. That was a cattle shed with palm roof, and we could see clearly the moon and the stars from the cottage that night; there was rain and we all were wet. The cattle stayed on one side of the shed and services were on the other side.

The next day we saw the land which he wanted to buy and we immediately gave advance and bought it. The church building was constructed there. His joy knew no bounds when we announced that we were going to donate a motorbike to him.
