Galai inlineTwo years ago, Pastor George Sackie of West Africa began planting Messiah Baptist Church in the village of Galai in Liberia. When Chris and Deb Hindal of Regular Baptist International visited the area around Easter 2014, they saw the designated land where the church would be built. Sadly, George’s wife, Nancy, died of Ebola that year on Aug. 19, but construction has continued on the church.

A fellow pastor in Monrovia, Philemon Gwelikporlusohn, says Messiah Baptist Church is currently being roofed “so that the people will have a place of worship.” Completing the roof will cost $540 USD. Philemon asks people to pray that funds will come in to finish the building.
