In Andhra Pradesh, India, the New Life Regular Baptist Society has been teaching Sunday School to children who live with their mothers in a women’s prison. The teachers use Regular Baptist Press Sunday School materials that have been translated into Telegu. Prasad Sakile, who ministers with the New Life Regular Baptist Society, sends the following letter about the prison ministry and additional ministries in India.

Brother Sam successfully ran the prison Sunday School program, with 34 prison children accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. We need to purchase Christmas gifts for the prison Sunday School children and need $450 (US) to purchase. Please pray for Lord’s help in this special issue.

This year we successfully completed quarterly Sunday School teacher training programs and pastors’ motivation camps. This year we have also trained 912 Sunday School teachers with our newly translated material.

A Christmas program and New Year Love Feast program will be conducted on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. A baptism service also will be conducted on Jan. 1. By the grace of God we have started a new church, and our fourth church worship service was conducted on our own premises. This is a very dangerous place where so many communists live.
