Timothy Mang serves with the Revival Baptist Churches of Myanmar. He sends the following ministry update.

In Myanmar, the month of December is a good month for evangelism because Myanmar people acknowledge that Christmas season is for Christians, and most of the Myanmar people are generally open to the gospel.

Every December, the Biblical School of Theology does a soul-winning marathon for two weeks. Students and faculty were excited and looked forward to these weeks. We formed 25 teams to go to 25 different mission fields in 10 states. The teams went out on December 22 and came back to the Bible college campus by January 3. Each team did personal witnessing, passing out gospel tracts, house to house visitation, evangelizing to children, and open air preaching. One group stayed at the Bible college and did outreach to the neighborhoods and passed out gospel tracts on a Yangon city circular train, shopping malls, and at national park. Altogether we reached about 2,000 people with the gospel, and we distributed over 8,500 gospel tracts.

As a result of our soul-winning marathon, about 300 people professed faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, 25 people were baptized, and the gospel truth was planted in the hearts of many people. We praise the Lord for this outreach opportunity and give God all the glory.
