John Nascimento is a Brazilian missionary to Guyana, South America, and chairman of the Association of Regular Baptist Churches in Guyana. He sends the following ministry update.

We restarted the training of two future pastors, Devon Matoo and Leon Persaud. This semester we are studying Cristology and Old Testament Panorama. In March, Pastor James Johnson, a missionary in Ceará, will come to Guyana and teach the eschatology module, and a few weeks later, we will have a seminar on leadership and ecclesiology with Pastor Stanley, from Howell, Michigan. This year the two students will assume more responsibilities in the church as part of their pastoral training.

Studies continue with Shakeem and Oswald. Due to a new job in the forest, Oswald has not been coming to the studies, but he warned me that as soon as he received time off he would like to do the studies he has been missing. Pray for Shakee, a 16-year-old who has been approaching the church and seeking to know Christ. Pray also for Akeem Barker, whom I met a few years ago. He offered us his home as a preaching point in a village near Clonbrook Church. We want to start studies in the homes of this community. There is no church in the village, only a mosque.
