“The Lord’s hand is upon En Gedi Camp,” says Dr. H. C. Stephen of Manipur, India. He developed the camp in 2016 with the counsel of Lake Ann (Mich.) Camp  and construction assistance from Grace Baptist Church, Batavia, New York. Now another Regular Baptist church, Lakewood Park Baptist Church, Auburn, Indiana, has stepped in to help this camp, by providing nearly $19,000 to build a kitchen and dining hall.

Demand for the camp “is growing rapidly,” H. C. Stephen says. “Every week we have campers from all age groups.”

In addition to overseeing the camp, Stephen is the international representative of the New Testament Baptist Churches Association in Manipur and chairman of the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries. Regarding his additional ministries, he says, “Last month, on July 9, our church baptized 25 young people who got saved at our VBS and youth camp. One of them is an orphan girl who stayed with us in our home.”

The New Testament Baptist Churches Association also operates a seminary, which appointed a new president this year. Fifteen new students recently enrolled, including three from Myanmar and two from Bangladesh, bringing the total number of students to 40.
