Jesse Quapourlee is a pastor with the African Fundamental Baptist Mission, Inc., in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. He sends the following ministry update.

From December of 2016 up until now, we have been able to bring messages of the true gospel to the hearing of over 900 people in our community and different communities of Liberia, and glory be to God that 200 professions of faith in Christ Jesus have been made so far.

It is interesting to note that many who accepted Christ as their Savior admitted that although they have visited some churches and heard many preaching, they have never heard such a simple message of salvation and have never felt relief from the burdens of their sins as it happened to them after our encounter with them.

On the other hand, we have encountered lots of opposition for the preaching of the true gospel message. In last month, while on one of our evangelistic campaigns, I was assaulted by a young man who accused me of being one of the false prophets of the last days because I was telling people that Jesus is only way to Heaven. He even tried to stop all those who were in his company that day to listen to me. But I tell you, praise be to God that three young women refused to listen to him and instead patiently intoned their ears to the gospel message from me and made professions of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior on that day. Praise the Lord!
