witch doctor inlineJesse Quapourlee is a pastor with the African Fundamental Baptist Mission, Inc., in Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa. He shares the following ministry report:

Only Heaven knows our joy for the advancement of the gospel in Liberia at this time! Our recent evangelistic campaign was conducted in the opened Market of Compound Village of Margibi County in Liberia. This campaign brought the simple plan of salvation to the hearing of hundreds of people, and 150 made professions of faith in our Savior. And most interestingly, a witch doctor (Sumo Kwinah) got saved. But before he accepted Christ, he was seriously convicted by the Holy Spirit and in tears acknowledged that he was a terrible sinner and needed salvation. After he got saved, he said, “I have carried heavy burdens of sins many years, but now I feel relief of those burdens. Jesus has lifted up those burdens of sins from my head.” He further asked to be baptized immediately, but that was not possible. One of our deacons has decided to lead the establishment of a Bible-believing Baptist church in said village.

Please pray for the dreams of New Testament Baptist Church of Monrovia. We have resolved to plant 100 Bible-believing, doctrine of grace, independent Baptist churches in the remote area of Africa through our church’s mission (Baptist Rural Mission of Africa, Inc.) within the next 10 years if Christ delays His return. We have already started with the training of church planters from various Baptist churches in Liberia to implement this task.

Some other interesting news we feel you need to hear include: the last Ebola patient in Liberia was discharged a few days ago and the country has gone a couple of days without any new cases; schools are opened in all parts of Liberia and the children are doing great in school; and our Bible school has also opened with four news students enrolled. Praise the Lord!
