Pastor MacDouglas Ampadu is president of the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Ghana, West Africa. He sends the following ministry report:

We have finally moved to our land, even though much work needs to be done. What a joy to be on your property to serve the Lord freely. We are now worshiping under rented tents and trusting the Lord for funds ($4,500) to raise a roof over our heads and finish the floor.

image002Kids’ Camp took place in Tamale in the northern region of Ghana. This is a region populated mainly by Moslems. The camp is geared toward reaching out to the Moslem children in Tamale and its surrounding towns and villages. It was amazing to see Moslem parents sending their children to the campgrounds. God is really wonderful! Throughout the program, the children were involved in games, Bible studies, devotions, crafts, and choreography; and of course good food was in abundance.

I served as a teacher and counselor. We had about 300 conversions. I had the privilege to lead three children to the Lord, one being a Moslem named Salami Tobah Tawfik. Being of Moslem parentage myself, I was really keen on getting the gospel to more of them. Oh! What a field to explore! Some of these children have never had the opportunity to interact with other children from other communities before. It was the first time for most of the children to learn about Christ and sing about Him. The seed has been sown. Pray that the Lord will bless it and grant the increase.

About 500 participants attended the camp: 450 children with about 50 counselors and teachers from Ghana, USA, and the United Kingdom. Pray for the Spirit’s guidance and empowerment and funds to reach these children in the north who otherwise will never hear the gospel message. Some actually came from typical villages where there is no potable drinking water, and some even sleep in the open with cattle. You could sense their joy and surprise when they found themselves drinking purified water, eating from plates, and sleeping on mattresses in a room with bath fittings!

Thank God that through this program, their physical needs were also addressed. Your prayer support is most needed to reach out to these less privileged children for Christ. Every soul is precious to the Lord, and your support could help bring them home to the Lord.
