Eighty-four students of Doane Baptist Seminary participated in the Evangelistic Camp Leadership Training held at GODUCATE Training Center in Iloilo, Philippines, Oct. 17–19. The students joined 156 other students and workers from God’s Evangelistic Bible School on Panay Island, and from Hilongos, Leyte; Laguna; and Negros Occidental. The participants heard several messages that challenged them as leaders.

Pastor Okkie Britz, a missionary from Africa, inspired students to know their God-given identity, potential, and calling. Dr. Paul Choo, a Singaporean pastor, challenged them to be bivocational missionaries or disciple-makers and to meet the needs of people to show God’s love wherever and whenever they go. Pastor Danny Balm Escobar, pastor of Doane Baptist Church, Iloilo, motivated them to obey the Great Commission and follow God full-time in His will for their lives. Ms. Lalaine Ismael, Doane Baptist Seminary faculty and registrar, shared the forms and functions of presenting the gospel. Ms. Raquel Poleceo, Central Philippine University counselor and teacher, gave helpful tips in counseling people of different backgrounds and personalities. Pastor Michael Mendiola, the camp coordinator, and Jet Paltuob, camp staff member, lectured and gave a workshop on the principles and philosophy of E-Camping, making disciples, and servant leadership.

The students, church workers, and pastors who participated in the leadership camp training rejoiced to have heard vital guiding principles and learned skills in discipleship and E-Camping.
