Pastor David Cole is celebrating 10 years of ministry at Kitty Baptist Church in Georgetown, Guyana.

image002Cole accepted the pastorate of Kitty Baptist Church in 2003, succeeding the leadership of Pastor John Burrows. “The years that would follow would be challenging and rewarding, but not discouraging,” the church says.

Pastor Cole takes to heart the words of Miriam Kearns, a missionary who worked at Guyana Bible College for many years: “Discouragement never comes from God.” Miriam died on Sept. 22, 2013, at age 86.

Kitty Baptist Church ministers to a variety of people in its community byimage002 holding regular services for the deaf, preparing and delivering Christmas baskets for the needy, and hosting events throughout the year such as its Mothers’ Conference, Vacation Bible School, a fall harvest celebration, and a conference for single female parents.

In addition to his role as pastor, Cole was also a member of the original IPFBM’s Council of Eight.

Kitty Baptist is grateful to God for its pastor, saying, “We take the time out to say congratulations and thank you, Pastor Cole. We pray God continues to bless and keep you, to make His face shine toward you and be gracious to you, that he lifts up His countenance toward you and give you peace.”
