The latest TEBS- (Theological Educators Biennial Summit) was held in Iloilo City Philippines. This is the fourth national gathering we had held every two years among bible school presidents, staff, BOT and teachers. Almost 30 schools were represented there as we received sponsorships and resources for all our participants.
One of the exciting thing that took place last May was a challenge and proposal to all bible schools spread across the country to church planting partnership venture. The schools will commit to send faculty led trained students to a newly identified church plant area. A local church will be selected to be the sending church and will get involved in the logistics needs, volunteers and finances. Our ministry with Partners Int’l will mobilize and provide additional training to all partners in areas of church plant, partnership, evangelism and missions and etc. in the local, regional and national level. By God’s grace we envision a formation of new church plant partnerships project every year in each schools Nationwide. The good soil E & D and EMC trainers and materials from ABWE will be much involved in the regional and national training.
I am scheduled to fly to Mindanao this coming Friday to begin the exploration stage by meeting with the presidents and leaders of the schools and some key leaders in churches. There are 15 meetings I have set in Cagayan De Oro and Bukidnon alone from July 2-7. The Lord has already provided for the round trip fare. Pray that the needs for travel, meetings and accommodation will be provided soon as well.
