Josiah Kennedy is vice president of the Association of Fundamental Baptist Churches in Accra, Ghana. He sends the following letter regarding a church recently planted in the area.
Over the past few months we requested that you join us in prayers for the kick-off of a new church plant in Dodowa. The Lord is a prayer-answering God! He gave us the right people to contact for the open-air meetings and perfect weather as well. In all we had over 60 people confessing Christ for salvation, for the three nights of open-air meeting. Over 70 people came from the area for the first service of the 
new church plant. We distributed 51 Bibles at our first service to new believers who didn’t have Bibles. We have started the follow-up from our soul-winning of our three nights of open-air meeting. It’s been just great! I praise the Lord for the privilege to serve him.
In our last Tuesday Bible study and worship time at the new church plant we had 34 people come to the service. We are also preparing 20 of these for our first baptism service.
Over the past month and half we have distributed 45 Bibles to students in three schools. Praying that He open more doors for school ministry.
