In India, Prasad Sakile, a pastor with the New Life Regular Baptist Society of Andhra Pradesh, is teaching the gospel to children who live with their mothers in prison.

“By the grace of God,” he says, “we got permission from state government to conduct Sunday School service in Women’s Central Prison [for the] past six years.” But for the past eight months he has been trying to renew that permission. “At last,” he says, the government renewed his permission to teach Sunday School to these children.

Prasad, along with his wife and another man, both who have experience in children’s ministry, organized a Sunday School for the 256 children at the Women’s Central Prison. Children ages five and under live with their mothers there until those women have completed their sentences.

Prasad is now praying for funds to purchase Christmas gifts for these children.
