Wesley Chatla is a church planter with the Indian Christian Bethel Baptist Gospel Fellowship in Andhra Pradesh, India, and administrator of the association’s school. He sends the following ministry update.

The number of COVID-19 cases in India has been increasing drastically day by day and just passed  325,000 cases, but the deaths are nearly 10,000. The recovery rate is good, however. Some states in India announced lockdown again last Saturday.

Churches in India: The Indian government announced opening up the churches last Sunday, June 14, with a lot of rules. Because of the insufficient room, small churches didn’t open, but a few big churches were opened and services went well by the grace of God after three months  of lockdown.

Mission School: The school’s situation in India is still uncertain, and as for the government orders, schools will be opened on August 17. The government imposed a lot of new rules on schools in the areas of social distancing, maintaining the classrooms, buses, and so forth. Please pray that God will provide the $5,480 still needed to keep the school going.
