“COVID-19 has caused great harm to our nation,” says Joshua Masaba, president of the Eastern Uganda Baptist Association.

In Uganda, Joshua says, all public places—including schools, churches, markets, and public transportation—are facing lockdowns and curfews to slow the spread of COVID-19.

“We have lost some church leaders and members and community members, both old and young,” Joshua says. “This has created widowhood, widowerhood, orphanhood, severe famine, poverty, and many social problems.”

Joshua asks for financial assistance to support its suffering communities and 54 orphans the Eastern Uganda Baptist Association cares for.
