NEIndia_inlineChris Hindal, director of GARBC International Ministries, and his wife, Deb, completed a three-state visit in Northeast India, meeting with IPFBM partners in Manipur, Mizoram, and Assam. Dr. H. C. Stephen, chairman of the IPFBM Council of Eight, accompanied the Hindals and led the meetings with the association leaders.

Chris informed the partners of the history of the IPFBM, its progress in a successful leadership transfer, and the intent to engage each one in a productive role as they press forward as Christians in their global assignment.

Chris shared a PowerPoint overview of the 62 partnering associations worldwide, and Dr. Stephen cast the vision of an RBP Asia, printing Regular Baptist Press curriculum in an adapted Indian version. Translators, Chris explained, will receive raw files, giving them the ability to swap out American photos for Indian photos, as well as using Indian examples and applications.

Northeast India is anticipating an IPFBM regional conference by 2016 that will be geared for laypeople with a target attendance of 1,000. Anticipated regional conferences in 2015 include South India and Myanmar.
