A church in Togo builds a temporary building to gather in.

Joseph Akakpo, who ministers with the Association of Biblical Baptist Churches of Togo, sends an urgent prayer request.

Last week, rain destroyed one of his association’s churches, whose walls had been constructed with mud. The church’s grass roof has also been destroyed, as it had been suffering from termite damage.

Last Sunday, lacking a building to meet in, members of the church worshiped under a tree at a member’s house. Members are now building a temporary meeting place with wood pillars and a grass roof. But the church won’t be able to meet under a tree or in the wood-and-grass structure for much longer though, since the rainy season will arrive around November.

The church is praying for finances to construct a permanent cement building.
