Bir Tripura and Vern Miller serve with the Bangladesh Tribal Association of Baptist Churches. They send the following ministry update.

The school year is winding down in Bangladesh, as children recently headed home for three weeks of vacation to celebrate Christmas. The year  finished with a series of camps in three hostels and 13 village schools to create a lasting good memory for the children. The camps included Bible teaching, memorization and quizzes, prayer, games, and food. The children were given up to 20 Bible verses to memorize, with prizes as the incentive.

The camps were conducted over a two-week period, with college-age volunteers serving as counselors and teachers. Those volunteers were as impacted as the children with renewed friendships and trust in the Lord for strength and help.

Christmas in Bangladesh for Christians is a four-day event with worship, gifts of sticky rice, games for children, cultural programs for adults, dinners, a pig roast for youth, prayer, tithing of crops, and a celebration of Joyce Wingo, who first brought the gospel to this village.
