She served at Burrows Memorial Christian Hospital, Alipur, from 1973 to 1990, and later in 1992, she and her husband, Mr. M. Selungba Singh, started the Emmanuel Rural Hospital at Pailapool.

Over and above the regular functioning of the Emmanuel Rural Hospital, she also carries out regular medical camps to rural and far-flung areas in the Barak Valley. A Pregnancy Crisis Care ministry has also been established through which women who want to abort their unborn child are counseled, leading to the adoption of the child by childless couples after birth.

Dr. Lamina has been used of God to touch many lives over the years with her tireless work towards  providing the best possible medical care to underprivileged people of Barak Valley. The ERH Hospital continues to be the beacon of hope for countless poor rural people who can hardly afford medical treatment in cities.
