Joseph Akakpo ministers with the Association des Eglises Baptistes Bibliques du Togo. He sends the following ministry report.

We were able to take part in a Leadership Training Conference. There were over one hundred pastors and wives who participated in this four-day training conference. I was able to teach a workshop too. After this meeting I see how bright our future is if we continue to put into practice what we learned. Praise the Lord for providing to meet the needs.

In the girls’ conferences in the south and north churches, the lesson was on the Prodigal Son in Luke 15, entitled, “New Start, Hope for the Future.” The testimonies were touching as we interviewed some girls.

Gisele, from one of our churches confessed, in front of all the participants her disobedient life to God and her parents with genuine repentance. At the conference in Kpalime she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, which gave her an eye opening to come back home to God and submit to her parents. Youth leaders’ meetings were some of our main ministry in the past days. We trained these leaders from 37 churches in Lome and the Kpalime area.

March ended with a wonderful and colorful conference of our Plateau churches, which we were part of. During the conference eight pastors were officially ordained. Glory be to God to confirm these faithful servants of the Lord despite their different challenges in the ministry. May the Lord continue to show them His mercy.
