Togo evangelistic inlineJoseph Akakpo ministers with the Association des Eglises Baptistes Bibliques du Togo in Lome, Togo. He sends the following ministry report.

Our evangelistic meetings with three preachers, including me, shared the gospel with clarity and urgency. There were many people (young, old, and even Muslims) that came to listen. Papa Todigan, now at 84, gave his public testimony of how Jesus Christ delivered him from Hell to Heaven. One young guy made a public confession, and two other kids came to church from that neighborhood.

We planted the seed and we will wait patiently for the harvest. In the law of farming, you cannot harvest the same day you plant a seed. As a church, we are not discouraged at all, despite the funds we put into that evangelistic campaign.

We continue to do our door-to-door evangelism there and visit those two kids’ families to share the love of God with them. Please continue to pray for the Dagbuipe neighborhood. The name “Dangbuipe” means “the house of snakes.” This is the place where people have their sacred forest with fetishes and python snakes. Satan has blinded their eyes, but our God will open their eyes one by one before our Savior, Jesus Christ, comes to translate us to that glorious City.

Our Agape Fellowship on Resurrection Day was great. We really shared the love in Jesus Christ with each other. There were lots of delicious African dishes, and we even took some back to our homes to eat during the week. Our God provided more food than we needed. Praise His name! I preached on the benefits (life, love, hope, and power) of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
