Prédestin Hérard of Haiti is thankful for a financial grant from Regular Baptist International. Prédestin is president of the Evangelical Baptist Association of Churches of Haiti, which operates My Father’s House orphanage in Port-au-Prince.

A 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit Haiti Aug. 14, leaving the nation in “distress and anguish,” he says. The situation is still dire, as people are dying from a lack of food and water. He has also received many requests to take in additional orphans.

A grant of $5,000 will provide necessities for the orphans under Prédestin’s care and for pastors and members of his churches.

Donations to Regular Baptist International’s compassion fund, which had been depleted earlier this year, enabled the grant to be fulfilled.

“With a heart of joy and gratitude,” he thanks donors of Regular Baptist International for their generosity. “Thank you on behalf of all the pastors of the Association of Evangelical Baptist Churches of Haiti. May the Lord bless you all.”
