For the past year, Village of Hope Academy in Bong County, Liberia, has been planting rice fields to feed its students. James Burnette, executive director of the Children Assistance Friendship Foundation, Monrovia, Liberia, now says, “We appreciate your contribution for the agriculture project.”

The school has five teachers, who teach the students voluntarily. The Children Assistance Friendship Foundation was founded in 2004 to help children whose parents died during the civil war in Liberia. The foundation operates Village of Hope Academy and an orphanage to help meet the orphans’ spiritual and physical needs.
