Beginning in November, schools in Liberia will reopen, reports James Burnette, director of the Children’s Assistance Friendship Foundation, a Regular Baptist International partnering ministry in Monrovia, Liberia.

Schools have been closed since the pandemic began. During the closing, rain destroyed the zinc and wood in three classrooms of the foundation’s school, Village of Hope Academy. So the school will need to repair those classrooms.

The Children Assistance Friendship Foundation was founded in 2004 to help children whose parents died during the civil war in Liberia. The foundation operates not only Village of Hope Academy but also an orphanage that helps meet the children’s spiritual and physical needs.
