A volunteer explains COVID-19 precautions to a woman in her home.

The region of India where Prasad Sakile ministers is still in lockdown due to COVID-19. Prasad is a pastor with the New Life Regular Baptist Society in Andhra Pradesh.

“From our churches, 28 members are home [under] quarantine; nine members are in COVID-19 rehabilitation centers,” he says.

Churches are closed as well.

Prasad has been distributing groceries to his church members who are quarantined at home; providing free meals for those who lack food and finances; and enlisting volunteers to visit homes, explaining COVID-19 precautions.

People not facing health concerns are facing financial difficulties due to their inability to work, Prasad says. Families especially are unable to purchase food and daily necessities.

“Please continue to pray for us and all financial needs to provide the food for COVID-suffered people,” he says.
