Joseph Akakpo ministers with the Association des Eglises Baptistes Bibliques du Togo in Lome, Togo, West Africa, which regularly holds evangelistic seminars for youth. He sends the following ministry report.
Last Saturday we were with the Kpele youths from seven local churches in the Tsiko church. Pastor Sakpa, Mrs. Wodome Odile, Miss Edah Makovi, and Pastor Gaglo, as our main speaker, were our team members last weekend. “Remember Jesus Christ” (2 Timothy 2:8) is our Youth Seminar theme for this year. Observing the actuality in our world, we challenge our youths to remember Jesus Christ in whatever they do or think to the honor of Jesus Christ, Who resurrected.
Invitation was made for confessions and commitment to the Word of God. This time, we asked them to
come forward. It was more than three-quarters of the participants who made public confessions and commitments. We devoted more time praying for them as they came forward, standing in front of the pulpit. Yes, every zone is unique, as this is the only place we asked decision makers to come forward so far, and they did it without shame.
We continue to covet your prayers for the Danyi Seminar on June 18 and close with Amoussoukope on July 2.
