Prasad Sakile oversees worship services in a remote fishing village in India. His father, Pastor John Victor Sakile, is president of the New Life Regular Baptist Society Association in Andhra Pradesh, India. Prasad has sent the following letter:

Thanks for your kind prayers and support to Indian ministry.

We held a Sunday School Teachers Camps in four different places in my region. My target is very remote areas. Our Sunday School missionary, Mrs. T. Ratnam, helped me train the teachers in how to teach and how to sing Sunday School songs.

At 9:00 a.m. we started the program with prayer and a song. A children’s missionary taught at 11:00. After a tea break, we introduced new Sunday School songs to teachers from 11:30 to 1:00. A one-hour lunch break followed. Then from 2:00 to 3:00 I explained how to use our material. After another tea break from 3:30 to 4:30, I explained our doctrine.

By the Lord’s grace, my hard work was successfully applied, and I got positive responses. This month I am following up on attendees.

In total, 724 Sunday School teachers attended:

  • East Godavari District: 238 teachers
  • Srikakulam  District: 121 teachers
  • Warangal District: 194 teachers
  • Karimnagar District: 171 teachers

During this Christmas season, we need to purchase clothes to distribute to poor people and gifts for 240 Sunday School children. At present, our church finances are not sufficient to enable these purchase. We are looking to the Lord’s provision. Please pray for this need. This year’s Neelam cyclone affected my area very much; our church conducts food centers in rehabilitation centers in the affected areas. I know the USA was also affected by this cyclone. We are also praying for suffering USA brothers and sisters.

Please also pray that I will obtain the tuition fee and other expenditures to attend a three-month course on child evangelism in Kerala State from February through April.

Together in His Service,

Prasad Sakile
