Our God is still at work here in Togo. In the northern region, Islam has a great influence, but our Lord Jesus Christ reigns whether they like it or not.
Papa Degbey Togbuigan, 82, accepted Christ as his Savior. He is faithful at morning worship services and due to his age, he cannot come to other church meetings, especially at night. Papa Togbuigan was a great bokonor (voodoo doctor) for many years, with four wives and 14 grown-up children. He gave a striking testimony at church yesterday morning with great appreciation by the brethren. We will burn his voodoos on July 11 in Vogan, his village, in the presence of his children and villagers. He will be giving another testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ there. He will be baptized on Sept. 15 with 12 other candidates.
