Kitty Baptist Church, which sent the following ministry report, partners with the Association of Baptist Churches in Guyana. Pastor David Cole of Kitty Baptist is also on the Council of Eight, which administers the partnership.

An average of 95 children, mostly from the Kitty Community, attended Vacation Bible School each afternoon, July 16–20. These children all heard the gospel of Jesus Christ through “Rev It Up: Full Throttle for God,” a Regular Baptist Press VBS program. At the closing program, children received certificates of attendance and prizes.

The Association of Baptist Churches held its Youth Camp Aug. 4–10 at Camp Goshen on the left bank of the Essequibo River. It was a time of refreshment and much fun for the 42 campers. We are grateful to God for the safe return of the campers, especially Anastascia of First Baptist Church, Creen Street, who had to be rushed to the Bartica hospital following a severe asthma attack on the return ferry to Parika.

The launch of Deaf Awareness Week was held Sunday, Sept. 23, organized by Guyana Deaf Mission. The main service was held at Kitty Baptist Church following a march in Georgetown by many deaf individuals.

Prayer Request

  • Ministry in focus: That the Sunday School students who have accepted Christ as Savior would grow in wisdom and in their desire to follow Him. That they would see their education and schooling as a means to serve the Lord.
