Ghana-VBS-OxfordMI_inlineWe want to say thank you to Gospel Literature Services for participating with us in the greatest privilege known to man—serving God.

We participated with La Baptist Church Aug. 21–24 for a three-day program. We had 227 in attendance, with 57 decisions made for Jesus Christ. We had the opportunity to share from God’s Word with them Sunday morning, with seven individuals rededicating their lives to Christ and a church commitment of discipleship! God really blended hearts together in this ministry. We are so looking forward to God giving us another chance to serve with them.

On Aug. 25 we arrived in Ningua at Light House Baptist Church and began a two-day VBS with them. God blessed, with 102 on the first day, which amazed the local pastor, Pastor Kori. He was expecting around 40. We had a great time in the two days, with day-two attendance only 72 due to severe rain. But it was not only 72; IT WAS 72! During the rain no one comes out, and it was pouring and the children ran to the church.

It was so awesome to see God bring them in the rain and watch Pastor Kori weep in amazement and thankfulness for a great number during the rain. Through this wonderful two-day ministry, 36 made decisions for Christ. After closing, we were invited to Pastor Kori’s for refreshments, where he committed to do his best to lead the church and make sure that these children were discipled and followed up on. With tears in his eyes, he begged us to come back again and partner with them to help reach the village of Ningua with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord, for such a sweet time with them in fellowship and VBS!

Today, Aug. 27, we have started our final VBS for us here in Ghana for 2014. Emotions begin to stir as I make that statement. We are at Cross Roads Baptist Church in Accra. Today God blessed by bringing 76 to VBS, which was great, and 26 accepting Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. We are looking forward to the next three days with Pastor Josiah and the leaders from the church as we continue in VBS. We will share our final Sunday here in Ghana with them in a charge to stay faithful at all costs.
