Pastor Kirk Wesselink of Desert Hills Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico, would be considered an entrepreneurial pastor in terms of ministry. Though the church meets in a gymnasium-like structure, it is considered a house church by city code. Pastor Kirk says the congregation likes it this way, because his church is not exposed to the regulations that are imposed upon other churches.

While Desert Hills Baptist Church has given monthly support to Regular Baptist International, the church does a lot more by way of projects. The congregation has stepped up to meet strategic needs, especially in Haiti and India.

Chris Hindal provided this church an update of the ministry of Regular Baptist International, of which he is director, on Sunday night, Jan. 22. Pastor Kirk inquired about Chris’s expenses of this trip and graciously paid the church’s share as well as gave a generous honorarium. Pastor Kirk and his wife, Joyce, warmly hosted Chris for the night in their home, and he appreciated the opportunity for fellowship.
